If you are like many patients who pay attention to what they eat, work out, and maintain a healthy lifestyle antibiotics can be a necessary evil. Recently, I had to prescribe antibiotics for a jaw infection for my patient. After this course of medication, my patient was interested in building back the good bacteria in her system.
Sometimes bad bacteria can overwhelm your body, and antibiotics are prescribed by a doctor out of necessity. When a doctor prescribes antibiotics, finish them exactly as prescribed. It is especially important to do this even after you start feeling better.
